How are these guitars made?

Aluminium offers a very different sound to what most guitar players are used to. Aluminium is a much better conductor of sound than wood. The hollow body makes for a very bright and direct sound. Aluminium also helps with a higher tone resonance with an almost ‘metallic’ character.
Why aluminium?

Our guitars are completely designed, made and assembled in the Netherlands. We use CNC- milling precision for both our aluminium bodies as our wooden necks. The finishing touches are done by hand. In this way we have full control of the quality of our end-product
What makes us different from other guitar brands?

At Stuwey we wanted to do things completely different. We believe aluminium guitars are going to be the next best thing in the world of high-end instruments. We set ourselves apart because of our technical expertise and stunning designs. That’s how we’ll be bringing the world of art and music together.
Why did we choose a wooden neck?

We get asked a lot why we have chosen the combination of a wooden neck and an aluminium body. Apart from a beautiful contrast in design, it is also very much for playing satisfaction. During our research process we discovered that a lot of full aluminium guitars have one complaint in common. Switches in temperatures made the aluminium neck expand and lose it’s tone. That’s why we brought the best of two world together to build a guitar that plays as good as it looks!
